This is the short version, because there isn't a long version. Vegas Uncut collects as little as a website can and still work. Here is exactly what that is.
What is collected
- Your email address, only if you give it. When you request the free Vegas First-Timer Guide, your email goes to Kit (formerly ConvertKit), the service that sends the guide and the short welcome series that follows it. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Kit's own privacy policy is at kit.com/privacy.
- Anonymous page counts. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track individuals across sites — it reports totals like "how many people read the Caesars page today" and which page or site they came from. Cloudflare's description of what it collects is at cloudflare.com/web-analytics.
- Standard server logs. The site is hosted on Netlify, which like any host keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, page requested, time) for security and operations.
That is the whole list. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no retargeting, no account to create, and no comment system.
What is not done with it
Your email address is never sold, rented, or shared with a partner, and is used only to send the guide and Vegas Uncut's own emails. The analytics numbers are totals, not people. Nothing on this site is used to build a profile of you.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies of its own, which is why there is no cookie banner. Two things you may click on do set cookies, on their own domains and under their own policies:
- Affiliate partners. When you follow a link such as /hotels or /tickets, you are forwarded to a partner site (Klook, TicketNetwork, or a partner on the Impact network). That partner may set a cookie so that a booking you make later is credited to Vegas Uncut. The disclosure page explains the commission side of that. The partner's cookie lives on their site, not this one.
- Embedded YouTube videos. Some guide pages embed a Vegas Uncut walk from YouTube. Playing it is subject to Google's privacy policy.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link at the bottom of any of them. You keep the guide.
- Delete your email address entirely by writing to hello@thevegasuncut.com. It is removed from Kit within a few days.
- Ask what is held about you at the same address. In practice the answer is your email address, the date you signed up, and which emails you opened.
Children
This site is not aimed at anyone under 18, and no one under 18 should submit an email address. Las Vegas has its own rules about that.
Changes
If any of the above changes — a new tool, a new partner that sees data — this page is updated and the date at the top moves. Material changes are also mentioned in the next email to subscribers.
